DOOR-SAFE™ Water-Tight Tester
The fully ABS Type Approved Door-Safe™ ultrasonic kit is used to rapidly and accurately test the integrity of water-tight doors and hatches. If ultrasound can pass through the door or hatch seals, then it is also true that water may be able to pass through. The Door-Safe™ transmitter generates ultrasound on one side of the door or hatch and the receiver unit on the other side of the door tries to detect any ultrasound. If none can be detected the door is water-tight. Any ultrasound that has leaked through is shown on the receiver unit in decibels on the digital LCD display and also converted to an audible sound, which can be heard through the headphones. The size of the problem can also be established from the strength of the signal displayed in the universal requirement of decibels. CARGO-SAFE ™
An ABS Type Approved hatch cover leak detector. CARGO-SAFE provides a quick and simple method of establishing weather tightness of hatch covers, bow, stern and side doors, but unlike hose testing, it has no negative side effects on the port or harbour environment and can be performed in sub-zero temperatures. PLI Digital - Portable Liquid Level Gauge
The PLI Digital Portable Liquid Level gauge is designed to offer a simple, accurate, rapid and reliable method of determining the liquid level of high or low pressure CO2, Halon, FM200, Propane and any liquefied gas under pressure, without the need to move or weigh the cylinders. There is no reduction in health and safety, and the risk of gas leaks during servicing is eliminated as cylinders remain active and in situ. The PLI Digital can be used on cylinders, pipe-work and any single skinned holding vessel with up to 25mm thick walls. It will also indicate the level of oil or water in a container or tank. The PLI Digital gives an accurate results by generating an ultrasonic sound wave that travels through the container and into the liquefied gas or fluid. The pulse responds differently to the presence or absence of liquid, indicating the level of the liquid. The PLI Digital has the ability to boost the power by 12, enabling cylinders to be read even when they are in poor condition, or suffering from a layer of rust. The PLI Digital also has an in-built thermometer (in both C & F), an easy-to-read digital display, one-button-set-up function for faster cylinder testing and smart plug, which enables the signal strength to be monitored by an audio signal from an internal speaker. PLI Plus - Portable Liquid Level Gauge
The PLI Plus portable liquid level gauge is designed to offer a simple, accurate, rapid and reliable method of determining the liquid level of high or low pressure CO2, Halon, FM200, Propane and any liquefied gas under pressure, without the need to weigh the cylinders. There is no reduction in health and safety, and the risk of gas leaks during servicing is eliminated as cylinders remain active and in situ*. *Please note when the unit is being used to determine the level of liquid CO2, an ambient temperature of over 27ºC will not give a result, as above this temperature the CO2 changes state from a liquid to a gas. Touchstone 1 ultrasonic thickness gauge
A high performance, low cost, simple to use handheld thickness gauge, often known as an ultrasonic thickness gauge in the USA, or an ultrasonic wall thickness gauge. It is suitable for use in a variety of applications in NDT (non-destructive testing) and is capable of measuring most engineering materials including plastic, glass, copper, cast iron and aluminium as well as a wide range of steels. The Touchstone 1 is simple to calibrate and operate and produces accurate and reproducible results. Click here for specification sheet |
Touchstone 2 coating thickness gauge
An easy to use coating thickness gauge that will work on rough surfaces in any condition at requires no couplant. This coating gauge uses the magnetic properties of the substrate material to determine the coating thickness - ie the distance the sensor face is held off the steel by the coating. The Touchstone 2 Hall effect sensor will measure a wide range of non-magnetic coatings on ferrous substrates including;

Sonic Leak Detector
This Leak Detector is a low cost instrument that allows for the rapid detection of pressurised gases escaping from any form of plant system. The ultrasound "noise" generated by a leak can be easily detected by the hand-held unit and the leak location rapidly and accurately identified through the headphones. The red laser pointer accurately and safely pinpoints the source of the leak while the wide range of frequencies that can be detected by the unit range from 20 to 100 kHz. This greatly increases the likelihood of detection. (Most standard leak detectors only offer detection of ultrasound noise at 40kHz.) The Sonic Leak Detector significantly reduces leak detection times and produces substantial cost savings. Click here for specification sheet |
Cabin-Safe Boat Survey Tester
A smaller, less powerful version of the CARGO-SAFE™ unit, this boat survey product is perfect for detecting the source of leaks in small pleasure craft, yachts, cars and caravans. To use the Cabin-Safe, the Transmitter unit is placed inside the vessel and the Receiver microphone is used to inspect seals, doors and windows on the outside for places of potential water ingress. Ultrasound will be detected on the exterior of the craft if a hole is present in the structure. Any holes can lead to water ingress. Click here for specification sheet |
